FOOD: KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD’S DOCTRINE AND THE DEVIL’S DOCTRINE

In the next few weeks, our weekend’s foods will be to know the difference between God’s doctrine and the devil’s doctrine so you can reject the deadly ones, and survive as a sheep among wolves.
The devil no longer comes with roaring alone. He comes with doctrine. “Sweetly swollen words” (2 Peter 2:18). In the last days, people will not leave the church first, but they will leave the doctrine first (1 Timothy 4:1) which begins by hating holy doctrines and loving sweetly messages that appeals to the flesh.
When feed on devil’s table will you lose belief in God’s truth and become not established (2 Chronicles 20:20).
1 Timothy 4:1 says, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”
The dangerous truth we will address this weekend is: Not every teaching that calls the name of Jesus is from Jesus.
Doctrine is spiritual food. What you eat daily is what you become. If you eat God’s doctrine, you are established. If you eat the devil’s doctrine, you are destroyed.
MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOD’S DOCTRINE AND THE DEVIL’S DOCTRINE
1. CHRIST VS SELF
God’s doctrine is Christ-Centered (1 Corinthians 3:11). It reveals Jesus, not man.
The devil’s doctrine is Self-Centered (Revelation 2:20). It makes the preacher, the prophet, the brand, or the program the focus.
You should check who is being exalted in what you listen to.
2. STANDARD: HOLINESS VS SIN-TOLERANCE
God’s doctrine is Holiness-Based (1 Peter 1:16). It calls you out of sin.
The devil’s doctrine is Sin-Tolerant (Jude 1:4). It turns grace into license. They will say, “God is love, so enjoy life.” Holiness is called “legalism.”
3. FOUNDATION: WORD VS SWOLLEN WORDS
God’s doctrine is Word-Rooted. Isaiah 8:20 says, “If they speak not according to this word, there is no light in them.”
The devil’s doctrine is Scripture-Twisted. “They speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness” (2 Peter 2:18). It uses sugar coated tongue and high sounding philosophical nonsense to twist the Bible as if they are freeing people but making them preys to the devil.
4. ESTABLISHMENT VS DESTRUCTION
God’s doctrine is Destiny-Building (2 Chronicles 20:20). It establishes you.
The devil’s doctrine is Destiny-Destroying (Revelation 2:14). It casts a stumbling block before you.
HOW TO DISCERN THE DIFFERENCE
1. Check the Fruit – Matthew 7:16. Does it produce holiness or compromise?
2. Check the Focus – John 16:14. Does it glorify Jesus or the teacher?
3. Check the Foundation – Acts 17:11. Can you trace it to the Bible?
4. Check for Reproof – 2 Timothy 4:3. Is sin rebuked or rebranded as “lifestyle”?
Not every gathering with a cross is of Christ. If there is no call to repentance, it is a devil’s doctrine.
Eat the scroll this weekend and declare as follows:
1. I am delivered sweetly swollen words in Jesus’ name.
2. I refuse to be fed with doctrine of devils in Jesus’ name.
3. Holy Spirit, give me discernment to know truth from error in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER
1. Heavenly Father, open my eyes to see deception around me in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord God, root me deeply in the doctrine of Christ in Jesus’ name.
3. Holy Spirit, make me a lover of truth and a hater of lies in Jesus’ name. Amen.
