Food: REWARDS OF UNBELIEF (Part 1)

What Is UNBELIEF?
Unbelief is not just lack of information; it is refusal of revelation. It is to hear God’s truth and reject it, to see God’s works and deny Him, to know God’s promise and doubt Him.
Unbelief is distrusting God’s Word, rejecting Christ’s Lordship, and disobeying His counsel.
Believing brings life, but unbelief brings loss.
These are the rewards unbelief pays:
1. Sin Remains and Death Reigns
Romans 6:23. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, because they believe not on me. “When he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me” (John 16:8-9). The wages of that sin is death. Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”
2. Eternal Condemnation and Damnation
John 3:18 says, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Mark 16:16 says, “He that believeth not shall be damned” Unbelief already condemns a man before the final judgment.
3. Deprivation and Being Cast Away
Hebrews 3:12 says, “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” Unbelief separates and casts away from God’s presence.
4. No Divine Intervention
Matthew 13:58 says, “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Even Jesus was limited where unbelief ruled. Unbelief ties the hands of heaven.
Eat the scroll this weekend: Unbelief is expensive. Check your heart and turn fully to God.
PRAYER
1. Lord God, deliver me from every evil heart of unbelief in Jesus name.
2. Heavenly Father, let not unbelief hinder Your mighty works in my life in Jesus name. Amen.
