The God’s Anointed and Blessed Church International was founded by Pastor Elias Omotoye Ebijomore in accordance to the directives of the Lord that he should ‘forsake the secular engineering profession and lead greater audience on the way for them to overcome the power of darkness as the predestinate for him’. . .
The church thereby began with weekly vigils in his sitting room of a rented apartment at N0. 53, Idanre Road (Flat 2), Opposite Ile-Aanu, Oke-aro, Akure, Ondo State. Nigeria; and the first Sunday service there was on the 30th of August, 2009. This continued until he rented a hall at N0 49 Idanre Road, Oke-aro, -a nearby building to his house, and the first service there was a vigil on Friday the 26th to Saturday the 27th of February 2010. The servant of God, his wife, two of their children, his aged mother and five others were the ten people at the vigil.
Thus, every 27th day of February has there forward been upheld by the church as her yearly day for God’s Covenant Service and every last Sunday of August as her yearly Heirs of God Congress.
Thereafter, the Lord blessed his church on the 15th of March, 2012 with a land mass of 2,999.9998square metres, already fenced and gated at 17, Idanre Road, Green Park Bus-stop, Oke-aro, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. The church moved to this permanent site on the 24th of June, 2012 and it remains as her headquarters. The Lord Jesus said concerning the woman who had an alabaster box of very precious ointment and used it to anoint him, ‘Verily I say unto you wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her’ (Matt. 26:13). In the same way, the covenant book of the church contained the names of those whom the Lord used for the provisions of the land and thus, their names are in the book of life (Phil. 4:3) for eternal rewards unto them in Jesus name.
The church services at the permanent site began in an open space because there were no resources to erect any structure thereupon. It took the church several months before having total victory over the two massive bamboo trees and thick bushes on the land. Then, the church had a shed, and later progressed to leather made structure, and advanced to iron sheet house until the foundation of the cathedral was laid by the servant of God on the 1st of January 2013 at the Crossover Service, which was equally the rounding off service of the church’s yearly forty (40) days Fasting and Prayer.
Thereafter, the God’s Anointed and Blessed Church International was incorporated on the 12th day of September 2017 in accordance to the companies’ laws and allied matters of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
